How to Disinfect Wood Furniture

If you weren’t afraid of germs before, you should be now. As the third wave of COVID-19 sweeps across the US, we are once again finding ourselves scrambling to buy hand sanitizer and Lysol. While we are doing our best to minimize exposure, it’s equally important we keep our homes clean and sanitized.

Disinfect Wood Furniture

In our article today, we will give you an easy 3 step process on how to disinfect wood furniture.

  1. You can start to disinfect wood furniture naturally with simple ingredients found around your home. All you need is water, white vinegar, and dish soap. Start by filling a spray bottle with 2 cups of water and one cup of vinegar. Then add in about five drops of dish soap, and shake it up to mix. (Fact: Vinegar is an acetic acid capable of destroying bacteria and viruses, but commercial cleaning products are more potent.)
  2. Once you’ve created your mixture, it’s safe to spray the solution directly onto the wood furniture. After spraying it on, you will want to let it sit on the furniture for about 10 seconds, then wipe it off with a damp cloth. It’s essential to use a damp cloth because it will help wash away any soap residue.
  3. After you’ve completed this step, now it’s time to wipe off any excess moisture. Using a clean, dry cloth, simply wipe down the furniture, and you are all set.
